George Michael
George Michael first approached Wired Strings in 2003, for a one-off,
live performance of Don Maclean's 'The Grave' for TOTP, in protest
of the impending war in Iraq. This was George's first live performance
in 6 years.
In March 2004, Wired Strings performed exclusive tracks from
his celebrated album 'Patience' which was screened for the
BBC show 'Parkinson'. George asked designer Katherine Hamnett to design T Shirts for Wired Strings to wear during their TOTP performance. These clearly stated his political stance on the war in Iraq!
